On this trip you will trek the Mountain Gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, View chimpanzees and other primate species in their natural habitat. you will search for tree-climbing lions and other wildlife in the Queen Elizabeth National Park, Encounter the Devils Cauldron as you Cruise along the River Nile. Encounter the rhinos at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and experience a nature walk in Lake Mburo National Park
After your early morning breakfast having arrived the previous evning, you will drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will do a walking safari to view the Rhinos, before proceeding to Murchison falls national Park later in the afternoon, Uganda’s biggest national Park. You will drive for around 6 hours from Kampala to Murchison and you will arrive at your lodge for dinner and an overnight.
You will wake up for your early morning breakfast and then head for a morning game drive. You will move on to explore a great deal or wild game, the beautiful savanna. We shall drive in the open African savannah in search of Lions, Leopard, Hyena, Buffalo, Elephant, Jackson Hartebeest, and a wide range of bird species such as the Secretary Bird, Chested Snake Eagle, Tawny and Marshal Eagles, Carmine and Swallow-Tailed Bee-Eaters, among others. In the afternoon, we enjoy a boat ride up the Nile River to the spectacular Murchison Falls to encounter the devil’s cauldron. We hike to the top of the falls and marvel as the Nile squeezes through a 7-metre gap with a thunderous rumble. You will retire for an evening and relaxation.
This morning you will drive to Kibale National Park after your early morning Breakfast. You can as well pass at the top of the falls for this morning activity if you will have skipped it the previous day before proceeding to Kibale national Park. Along the way you will an opportunity to view the tea estates, you will arrive in Fort portal for your hot late lunch. You will then head to your lodge for relaxation and an overnight from a long journey of nearly 8 hours
You will wake up early morning and have your breakfast, before heading for a chimp trekking activity. Note: the chimp permits are subject to availability - there are two slots in either the early morning (when they are often up in the trees feeding and more active) or at mid morning (when they often come down to take a nap as it is cooler on the forest floor and therefore closer and more relaxed).
It will be a rewarding experience as you get to view these interesting species. Regarded as the primate capital of the world, Kibale is a home to 13 species of primate including chimpanzees. After lunch we will have a nature walk in the Bigodi wetland or visit some communities before heading to Queen Elizabeth National Park where we shall arrive in the evening for dinner and an overnight,
This morning, we will have an early morning game drive in the Queen Elizabeth National Park where we shall go to search for the large land mammals and the big cats. The park boasts the world’s highest bio-diversity rating with over 600 bird and 100 mammal species including lions, hippos, buffaloes, leopard, Spotted Hyena, elephants and the elusive Giant Forest Hog. The primates include Chimps, Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black faced Red Colobus, and Red-tailed monkeys and Olive Baboons. You will come back from the game drive for lunch at the lodge before heading for an afternoon boat cruise. At the boat cruise you will spot a wide range of animals coming to water themselves, you will see the animals you will have missed on the game drive like the Nile crocodiles, birds like the cow egrets and hamerkop, you will also reach where the channel meets lake Edward. From a two hour sail you will retire at your lodge for an evening and relaxation.
You will have your early morning breakfast, before heading to Bwindi, you will drive through Ishasha to track the famous climbing lions gazing in fig trees. You will later proceed to Bwindi, you can choose to have your lunch parked with you or make a stop over to have it in Kihihi at Savanna Lodge before proceeding to the dense forest of Bwindi. You will arrive in this home of the endangered world mountain gorillas where half of the world’s Mountain Gorilla population live. You will retire for an overnight ahead of the big trekking day tomorrow
