Bwindi Impenetrable Exclusive
The exclusive Bwindi trip is one that reveals the true beauty of the pearl of Africa, you will encounter Gorillas, a walk through the impenetrable, a wide view for different Bird Species, you will also visit the lake Bunyonyi the second deepest lake in Africa
Having arrived in the country the previous day the next day early by 7:00 am your breakfast will be ready as you prepare to start on a long Bwindi Impenetrable national park Journey. This is a 500km journey from Kampala which is expected to last for around 8 to 9 hours. Along the way u will make a stopover at the equator where major latitude crosses Uganda at 0 degrees. You will proceed your journey having a view of the scenic beauty of the land.
Since the Journey will be long, you will only do an evening community walk in the Batwa (Pygmies) from here u will later retire in the evening for dinner.
One of the memorable experiences you will ever have in life is Encountering the rare and endangered Mountain Gorillas of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
This Park hosts half of the world’s population of gorillas, under the mist-covered canopies of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rainforest, comfortably u will be able to feed your eyes with this treasure of the mountain Gorillas. In the company of an experienced park ranger you will be tracking the whereabouts of one of the nine habituated family groups that live in the park.
Your tracking experience will be an exciting, yet challenging, journey due to muddy and slippery slopes, thick vegetation and bamboo forests before you reach the territory of these gentle giants.
Along the way, your ranger will point out telltale signs of previous gorilla activity like dung, nests and chewed bamboo shoots. Depending on the location of the gorillas on a given day the walk can last from 2 to 7 hours. Once the family of gorillas has been located, settle in to your surroundings and enjoy the hour you have to quietly observe these fascinating primates whose habits and gestures remind us so much of our own. Without a doubt, encountering the mountain gorillas in the wild is a truly humbling and emotional experience, one that you are sure to live your life in Remembrance.
On day 3 in the impenetrable you will have a community nature walk and after from there you will continue to batwa community visit and encounter with the pygmy Batwa, a tribe of native forest. They will demonstrate their way of life through songs, drama and tales. A guided nature walks through the vast Bwindi and nearing communities. After Lunch you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for an evening from where you can do a few activities like Zip lining before a full evening relaxation on the lake side
From an early morning wake, you will sail around Lake Bunyonyi for bird watching and the community walk. You will later have Lunch in the evening have a boat cruise on the lake where you will get chance to view various birds, beautiful landscape including some of the 29 islands. If you don’t go for a boat cruise you could opt for cycling around the area. You will later Return to your lodge, for dinner an overnight.
On the last day of your safari, you will embark on a Long drive to Kampala. You will have lunch at Igongo cultural Centre where you can briefly visit the museum and from there you will drive direct to Entebbe for your connecting home freight.
