Lake Mburo Zebra Paradise
This park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including zebras, impalas, hippos, and crocodiles. Visitors to Lake Mburo can go on game drives, boat cruises, and guided nature walks to explore the park and spot its many inhabitants. The park is also a great destination for birdwatching, with over 300 species of birds recorded in the area. The journey to Lake Mburo will make you enjoy a scenic drive through lavish greenery, steep landscapes, rugged hills and a mass of serene countryside, on your journey to Lake Mburo National Park situated 240 kms west of Capital Kampala. Once you arrive at the park, you will will have late evening game drive where you will spot a wide range of Zebras grazing and the antelopes. You will retire for an evening.
In the early morning, you will hit one of the park’s networks of game tracks for viewing opportunities. While driving through, you will sight many wildlife species including; zebras, elands, water bucks, giraffes, buffaloes, leopards, hyenas and topis. In the afternoon, you will embark on a 2 – hour boat cruise on Lake Mburo where will spot crocodiles and hippos and a variety of water birds. Besides sailing, you can crown your excursion with spot fishing on the lake.
On day 3 of your expedition, you will embark on a bird watching excursion in any of the park’s famous birding spots; the swampy valleys of Warukiri and Miriti, the roadsides between Rwonyo camp and the jetty, the viewing platforms at the salt licks, and Rubanga forest. After the excursion, you will have lunch and embark on your 4-hour journey to Entebbe airport for your connecting freight.
