Your trip starts in Moshi where you will have arrived the previous night, you will transfer to your starting point the Londorossi gate for the expedition. You will have stops along the way in a local village for lunch and proceed with your guides to begin your ascent through the lush rainforest of the lower reaches of Kilimanjaro. A three-hour circuit will lead you to Mti Mkubwa Camp to set down for the evening and dinner.

From Mti Mkubwa your will move through the dense rainforests to the beautiful savannah fields. You will gradually be passing the streams where you will reach Shira 1 Camp for an overnight and relaxation. Its at this point of 3500 meters above sea level that you will have a glance at the Kibo glacier from a distance.

You will have your early morning breakfast as you proceed on to explore the Shira Plateau and becoming better used to the altitude. You will have you lunch along the way as you make your way to Shira 2 Camp where you will have your overnight at 3890 meters above sea level.

Heading for the Lava Tower (4,640m) will be the goal of the day which you will embark on after your morning breakfast and this will be an iconic landmark. Having ascent, the 700m to the Lava Tower you will again descend gradually towards Moir Hut. Where you will camp for an overnight.

From Moir hut you will trek through the moderately steep trails today making your way to the peak of the Lent Hills. From here, you will cross over the surging fields of rock-strewn earth to Buffalo Camp. You will camp here as you take the breathtaking views of the Tanzania and Kenya boarder before sunset and night.

Early morning, you will head along the Buffalo Ridge as you trek through this sparse and wonderful terrain. Trekking through remote valleys and windswept terrain, your overnight will you at the northern slopes of Kilimanjaro of the third cave.
